New-look mobile safety camera vans

The Kent and Medway Safety Camera Partnership is warning motorists to look out for its seven new mobile safety camera vans which are now operating around the county.

The new Vauxhall Vivaro vans are extremely conspicuous with the Partnership logo, large black camera bellow signs on the sides, back and front and police battenburg livery. The vehicles allow for much more room for both the operator and their camera equipment.

Rachel Wall Communications Manager for the Kent & Medway Safety Camera Partnership, said: “It is important that the public are made aware of any changes we make to our vehicles as we do not want to catch motorists out, we just want them to take responsibility for their own driving by slowing down and staying within the legal speed limit. Drivers who do this will prevent themselves getting a £60 fine and three penalty points on their driving licence. All camera locations and general Partnership information can be viewed on our website: www.kmscp.org.”
