Tonbridge driver knows her limits!
Tonbridge driver Vicki Cheverall has proved she certainly knows
her Highway Code as she wins a brand new Cannon SLR digital
camera in the Partnership’s Know the Limits campaign.
The Know the Limits game show - a fun and interactive way to
educate road users - recently finished touring the county
at various shopping centres. Those who knew their stuff about
speed limits, stopping distances and safety cameras got the
chance to win a digital radio and were entered into the free
draw to win the camera.
The campaign also had a website www.knowthelimits.org where
drivers took part in the quiz. There was even a local radio
version of Know the Limits where the public tested their knowledge
- in a phone-in - of the speed limits in their own town and
had the chance of winning a DAB digital radio.
On accepting her prize Vicki said: “I passed my test
last year and am pleased to say staying within the limit has
made sure I have not received any points on my licence. I tested
my Highway Code knowledge on the Know the Limits website after
hearing about the game show on my local radio. I found it was
a great way to educate people as you were told the correct answer
if you got one wrong, it was also fun and I'm really pleased
with my prize it’s excellent.”
Rachel Wall Communications Manager for the Partnership
said: “The Know the Limits team would like to congratulate
Vicki on winning the game show. The campaign was developed to
be a fun, unique but informative way of trying to educate motorists
about which speed limits apply to which road and in which vehicle
plus much, much more. We are therefore pleased to hear that
Vicki learnt a bit more about the Highway Code but also enjoyed
giving the 10 questions a go on our website.”
