The strategic road network in England previously managed by The Highways Agency is now operated and maintained by Highways England, a new company owned by the UK government.  In Kent, Highways England are responsible for the M2, M20, and M25 motorways as well as the larger trunk roads such as the A2, A20, and A2070 and parts of the A259.
