Free magazine for young drivers

As part of their continuing efforts to help young motorists stay safe on the roads, the Partnership is giving away free copies of 1stCar - an independent magazine aimed at new drivers.

1stCar is crammed full of useful tips and information including: how to hang on to your licence; why drink, drugs and driving don’t mix; the best gadgets; the best cars and bikes; how to cut the cost of insurance; letters from readers, and chat from TV’s Fifth Gear presenter Jonny Smith.

Katherine Barrett, Communications Officer for the Partnership said: “Statistics show that one in five new drivers are involved in a crash in their first year of driving. By giving out this magazine we hope to make people aware that they can still enjoy driving, but to be aware of what they can do to avoid becoming one of these statistics. So far we’ve had really good feedback about it.”
