In a bid to enhance motorists’ knowledge of speeding and speed limits the Kent & Medway Safety Camera Partnership, along with Kent Fire and Rescue Service, is re-launching the unique gameshow Know the Limits.
The show - a fun and interactive way to educate road users - will tour the county at various shopping centres. Those who know their stuff about speed limits, stopping distances and safety cameras will get the chance to win an iPod shuffle and be entered into the free draw to win the ultimate prize which is a fantastic 30GB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Camcorder complete with 3-way tripod and carry case.
Know the Limits will be at the following shopping centres from 10am until 3pm:
Bluewater Shopping Centre - Friday 16 May
Royal Victoria Place, Tunbridge Wells - Tuesday 20 May
County Square, Ashford - Friday 30 May
Hempstead Valley, Gillingham - Friday 13 June
Orchards, Dartford - Friday 20 June
Mall Chequers, Maidstone - Friday 27 June
Pentagon, Chatham - Friday 4 July
As well as seeing the gameshow in shopping centres, drivers can take part online at www.knowthelimits.org - answer all ten questions correctly and get entered into the free prize draw.
Katherine Barrett Communications Officer for the Partnership said: “The feedback we’ve had from previous shows has been great - lots of people at the shopping centres get involved and help answer the questions, and it’s a good way to learn tips that you might not have picked up elsewhere. The prizes this year are even bigger and better than last time, so we want everyone to get online and join in, or come and see us at their local shopping centre. We hope that Know the Limits will put a smile on people’s faces but that they’ll also learn about how to stay safe on our roads.”
