Speed Awareness Course

You can attend one National Speed Awareness Course in three years. Any further offending will be dealt with by prosecution.

The course costs £85 and is offered to drivers or riders caught speeding within the police's specific criteria and is an alternative to receiving points and a fixed penalty. Our aim is to change drivers' attitudes to speed by looking at why they exceed the speed limit. We then provide advice on how they can avoid doing so in the future.
