Cameras in road works

There are currently two sets of road works with safety camera enforcement:

Ramsgate A299 between Minster roundabout and Cliffs End North (East Kent Access Phase 2 road works)

Temporary speed limit: 30mph

When: From Tuesday 7 June 2011 until the end of the year

How:  safety camera van

A20 Folkestone, Roundhill Tunnel (Highways Agency - viaduct joint failure repair)

Temporary speed limit: 30mph

When: from July 2011 until the end of the year

How: fixed yellow Gatso camera in each direction and possible safety camera van enforcement

Motorists are reminded that speed limits apply at all times of day and night, including weekends, and whether or not workmen are on site.  The works are clearly signed with the black and white camera signs and speed limit signs.  The reduced speed limit is for the safety of road users and road workers.
